We invite children ages 3–11, their parents, and Primary leaders and teachers to participate in a Friend to Friend event. This is a Face to Face–style event for children.
It will include music and activities as well as messages by President Russell M. Nelson, members of the Primary General Presidency, and Elder Ulisses Soares. You may view or download it any time after its initial launch.
We invite parents to view this event with their children when convenient (during the live broadcast, during home evening, on Sunday, or at another time). We also encourage Primary leaders and teachers to share this event with children, especially those who may not be watching with their parents.
Depending on local circumstances and government restrictions, priesthood leaders may encourage children, parents, and leaders to gather in homes, meetinghouses, or other locations to participate. The event could also be shown in a Primary activity. Priesthood leaders should follow the counsel of local and government leaders on gathering at the time of this event.
The event will be broadcast on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, YouTube, Facebook, BYUtv, and other channels. After the live broadcast, you may view or download it through face2face.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, YouTube, and other media. A broadcast schedule will be sent approximately three weeks before the event.
During the event, children will be invited to participate in activities. It may help to have a piece of paper, drawing utensils, and scriptures nearby.

9. Colorado Springs Home Storage Center (Bishop Storehouse) normal weekly schedule:
Wednesday: 4pm-7pm
Thursday: 9am-12pm
Saturday: 9am-11am
Most announcements should be electronically distributed weekly prior to Sunday so they do not take time in sacrament meeting; the bishopric may give essential announcements briefly before the opening hymn (see General Handbook 29.2.2.2).
From Elder Quentin L. Cook's general conference talk Deep and Lasting Conversion to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ (after President Nelson's two-hour meeting block announcement), "To help members prepare for the Sabbath, some wards already send an informative email, text, or social media message midweek. In view of this adjustment, we strongly recommend this type of communication. These invitations will remind the members of the Sunday meeting schedule for that week, including the upcoming class lesson topic, and support continuing gospel conversation at home."
The online stake calendar provides event details: e.g. event start and end times, participants invited, point of contact for questions, address, reserved building room(s), setup time, cleanup time, etc.
Recording impressions while reading the scriptures is like planting seeds; even small impressions can lead to meaningful personal revelation.

3 February 2021
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
We are so grateful to have been with you during your ward conferences. We hope it was edifying and strengthening for you, as it was for us, as we discussed the importance of making and keeping sacred covenants and how they help us increase our knowledge of God, the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
The highlights of ward conferences for us, as a stake presidency, was the youth devotional and second hour discussions.
For the Youth Devotionals we were deeply impressed with the insightful questions and faith promoting answers from our wonderful youth. We have great confidence in the rising generation as they continue to be the Lord’s youth battalion and lead the way in gathering Israel in new and exciting ways through technology.
During the second hour discussions, we were also pleased with the faith exercised and revelation experienced as so many shared their thoughts of how covenants provide all of the blessings of God in this life and help prepare us for eternal life with our family.
At the end of each ward conference, we met with your bishopric and invited them to share with us their thoughts on what they felt and learned during the conference and what they may do differently throughout the year to help members walk along the convent path. This exercise has always been productive.
So we ask each of you the same questions:
What did you feel and learn from your ward conference?
What will you do differently in your efforts to remember and honor your covenants?
Many of you requested the following quotes that we shared during ward conference:
“Ordinances and covenants help us remember who we are. They remind us of our duty to God. The Lord has provided them to help us come unto Him and receive eternal life. When we honor them, He strengthens us.” (True to the Faith: A Gospel Reference, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2004, pages 109, 110)
“Now we made this commitment, ‘… all things whatsoever the Lord our God shall command us.’ We committed ourselves to our Heavenly Father, that if He would send us to the earth and give us bodies and give to us the priceless opportunities that earth life afforded, we would keep our lives clean and would marry in the holy temple and would rear a family and teach them righteousness. This was a solemn oath, a solemn promise” ( “Be Ye Therefore Perfect”, Spencer W. Kimball, President, Devotional address at the Salt Lake Institute of Religion, Jan. 10, 1975)
“Where we make sacred covenants with God — the temple — is temporarily closed. Where we keep covenants with God — the home — is open! We have an opportunity at home to study and ponder on the exceptional beauty of temple covenants. Even in the absence of entry into that sacred physical space, our “hearts … shall greatly rejoice in consequence of the blessings which shall be poured out (Doctrine and Covenants 110:9)" (“Let Patience Have Her Perfect Work, and Count It All Joy”, Jeremy R. Jaggi, Of the Seventy, October 2020, General Conference, Sunday Afternoon Session)
“The Final Judgment is not just an evaluation of a sum total of good and evil acts—what we have done,” taught Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “It is an acknowledgment of the final effect of our acts and thoughts—what we have become. It is not enough for anyone just to go through the motions. The commandments, ordinances, and covenants of the gospel are not a list of deposits required to be made in some heavenly account. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a plan that shows us how to become what our Heavenly Father desires us to become.” (“The Challenge to Become”, Dallin H. Oaks, First Counselor in the First Presidency, October 2000 General Conference, Saturday Afternoon Session)
“Keep on the covenant path. Your commitment to follow the Savior by making covenants with Him and then keeping those covenants will open the door to every spiritual blessing and privilege available to men, women, and children everywhere.” The sacrament is an ordinance that helps us stay on the path, and worthily partaking is evidence that we are keeping the covenants associated with all the other ordinances.” ("New First Presidency Speaks to Members Worldwide", Russell M. Nelson, President, ChurchofJesusChrist.org and Church News, 16 January 2018)
“Sometimes we are tempted to let our lives be governed more by convenience than by covenant. It is not always convenient to live gospel standards and stand up for truth and testify of the Restoration. It usually is not convenient to share the gospel with others. It isn’t always convenient to respond to a calling in the Church, especially one that stretches our abilities. Opportunities to serve others in meaningful ways, as we have covenanted to do, rarely come at convenient times …But there is no spiritual power in living by convenience. The power comes as we keep our covenants. As we look at the lives of these early Saints, we see that their covenants were the primary force in their lives. Their example and testimony were powerful enough to influence generation after generation of their children.” ("Like a Flame Unquenchable", M. Russell Ballard, Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, April 1999 General Conference, Sunday Afternoon Session)
“The greatest compliment that can be earned here in this life is to be known as a covenant keeper. The rewards for a covenant keeper will be realized both here and hereafter. Scripture declares that “ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, … and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven … [and] dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness.” (“Covenants”, Russell M. Nelson , Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, October 2011 General Conference, Sunday Afternoon Session)
Again, as you read and ponder upon these quotes (and others that you may find), what stands out to you? How can they strengthen your and your family's efforts to walk firmly along the covenant path? How can they impact your efforts to gather Israel on both sides of the veil? How can they help you feel the love of God and access the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ to overcome your trials and tribulations?
We invite you to consider sharing these quotes with your families and friends and doing the same (yet more intimate) revelatory exercise we did together at ward conference. We believe it will be a worthwhile and edifying time together.
We express our love for each of you. We are blessed to live and serve in a most remarkable season of this dispensation of the fullness of times. We testify along with Elder Bednar “that no unhallowed hand and no pandemic can keep the Lord’s holy work from progressing”. And we are thrilled to walk side by side with each of you along the covenant path.

Many bishops’ offices, clerks’ offices, and meetinghouse resource centers contain excess and outdated materials. In considering what to discard, please refer to the list of meetinghouse resource center materials and guidelines on what to discard. Please also consider the following:
With the introduction of Come, Follow Me, many manuals have been replaced, including Primary 1–7, Gospel Doctrine, and youth Sunday School manuals.
The new Children and Youth program has replaced materials associated with Scouting, Duty to God, Personal Progress, and Faith in God.
Online processes in Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR) have replaced most administrative forms.
Clerks and resource center specialists should identify materials that are not being used regularly or that will not be used again and discard them or offer them to members for use at home. Clerks can also shred outdated stationery, forms, or sensitive materials.
The ready availability of audio conferencing and video conferencing solutions allows local ecclesiastical leaders to conduct virtual meetings with councils or members while avoiding an increase in technology costs for the Church. Local leaders are encouraged to use a free, reputable solution that works best in their area. Some possible options may include:
Google Hangouts or Google Hangouts Meet
Zoom
Webex
Facebook Messenger
Skype
These solutions should be adequate to meet most virtual meeting needs. If these tools are unfamiliar, it is recommended that leaders test their preferred solution before hosting actual meetings.
Consider the following when selecting and using virtual meeting technologies:
Understand the time and participant limits of your selected platform
Use good lighting for a better video conference experience
Minimize background noise and other potential distractions
Encourage everyone to mute their microphones when not speaking
Be sensitive to confidential information, and avoid recording meetings
If a leader has an account with a videoconferencing platform from their employment, they should ensure they have their employer’s approval before using that platform for Church purposes. Be aware that employer administrators may have access to personal meetings. In all cases, leaders should consider confidentiality and safeguard the personal information of members and others. Please share this information with the leaders in your wards and stake.
